Lay the bead down smooth and clean on the first pass, the wire feeds through my spool gun without any birdnesting or snags. The 4" size is perfect for smaller jobs, still get plenty of welds out of that pound.

The center hole is exactly 5/8" as described, so it mounted perfectly in my feeder. The feed through the gun was smooth with no birdnesting, and it laid down clean beads with 100% argon.
