Auto workers and metal men, for years, have used hot dip zinc to slow or stop corrosion. Our Prime-A-Weld is 95% zinc blended with 5% epoxy resin to produce one tough film. Regular paints can't hold up or bond properly to metal; regular paints just coat the metal. Prime-A-Weld zinc-rich treatment actually welds through and chemically fuses to the work surface. Rust doesn't even have a chance to start.

Prime-A-Weld has complete weld-through capability and won't interfere with spot welds like undercoat paint or plastics will. Perfect for rockers, blind panels found on antique restoration, or today's unibody cars. We are proud of this fine product.

Prime-A-Weld zinc meets or exceeds all performance requirements including the following specs: MIL-T-210335 repair for hot dip galvanizing, MIL-P-346105 weld thru primer, and the Preece test for hot dip galvanizing. Remember, if it won't meet or beat all of these requirements, it simply won't work properly. You invest your valuable time and energy, the least we can do is provide the best product for you needs.

Aurora R. ★★★★★

The 95% zinc content really does lay down a thick film, way heavier than the rustoleum stuff I used before. Coated the seams on my truck bed and it dried hard instead of staying tacky. Two weeks of rain and no orange bleeding through yet.

Jacob X. ★★★★★

I brushed this over some pitted spots on a trailer frame and the 95% zinc mix laid down a thick film that actually stayed put instead of sagging. Way better than the regular paint I tried first, which just flaked off within a season.

Joseph ★★★★★

Used this on the frame of my old welding trailer and it laid down thick, no drips. The 95% zinc really bites into bare metal, way better than the rattle can primer I used before. Dries to a tough gray film that hasn't flaked after a full winter outside.
