I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly this wire fed through my setup without birdnesting, even at the start of the spool. The 1-pound size is perfect for small projects where I don’t want to commit to a huge roll.

The 5/8" center hole fit my spool gun adapter perfectly, no filing or forcing needed. Feeds smooth through the liner with argon set at 20 CFH, and the wire lays down clean beads on thin aluminum. Was worried about birdnesting on this small 4" spool, but haven't had a single tangle.

My Hobart handler was jamming on cheaper wire, so I tried this 4-inch spool with the 5/8-inch center hole and it feeds smooth as butter now. The 1-pound size is perfect for small jobs, and the 4043 alloy lays down clean beads with pure argon.
