Fits perfectly in my 17 series torch and the wedge design grips the tungsten way more securely than the old style. Solid machining, no burrs, and it’s held up through a full day of welding without loosening once.

Swapped out the stock collet for this wedge version on my 17 series torch and the short Pyrex cup seats much more securely now, no more wobble mid-weld. Solid fit across both air and water cooled setups, which is handy since I switch torches often.

I was skeptical about the short collet design, but the wedge fit my Pyrex cup perfectly without any wobble. The machining is precise and it holds the tungsten rock-solid during welding.
