The green tip balls up just as described, and it’s been flawless for AC aluminum on my transformer machine. Arc stability is noticeably steadier than the mixed rods I tried before.

Switching from a pure tungsten rod to this green tip made a huge difference for my AC welding on aluminum—the ball forms perfectly and stays consistent throughout the weld. The tip holds up well even with a transformer-based power source, which is exactly what I needed.
