Swapping in an 8" spool with a 2" center used to mean fighting my old setup, but this brake assembly bolted right on and holds tension evenly. The 5/8" center option for 4" spools is handy too when I'm running smaller wire. Feeds smooth now with no slipping.

Was tired of being stuck with tiny spools, and this hub solved it — the 2" center takes the 8" rolls no problem, and the 5/8" side still fits my 4" ones. Swapping between them takes seconds, no wobble either.

Swapped this onto my welder and the 8" spool now sits dead center thanks to the 2" hub, no more wandering. The adapter also holds 4" spools with a 5/8" center, so I'm not locked into one size. Feeds noticeably smoother on longer beads.
