2% Lanthanated Tungsten (TL2), Blue Tip

Switched from thoriated to these blue-tipped electrodes and the arc starts much more reliably, even on my old welder. The longer lifespan is a nice bonus too.

Switched from thoriated to this lanthanated tungsten and the arc starts noticeably quicker on my inverter welder. The blue tip color coding is a helpful visual cue when I'm grabbing rods from the drawer.

The blue tip makes it super easy to tell apart from my other rods in the drawer, and arc starting is just as effortless as the thoriated stuff I used before. So far, it's holding up great through a long day of welding without breaking down.
